Curriculum
At Annandale Cooperative Preschool, our curriculum is based on the well-tested research of many specialists in the field of Child Development and continues to be created and lovingly implemented by our well-trained and highly experienced teachers. We are proud to be one of the few NAEYC-accredited cooperative preschools and feel strongly that the role of the co-oping parent makes the core of our curriculum that much more meaningful.
Our Facilities
Beyond the individualized classrooms which exceed Virginia state and NAEYC requirements, Annandale Cooperative Preschool has an Activity Room, a courtyard garden, a nature trail, and huge playground, all of which make our school a wonderful place to learn.
Parent Participation
One thing is for certain: Joining a cooperative preschool demonstrates to your child that you have a personal interest in his or her education, and that you are committed to helping them succeed. And if you get a chance to enjoy a little adult time and work on projects and committees that are a bit more stimulating to your “grown-up” mind, all the better for it.

You don’t have to be a parent of a young child to support a great community preschool. Donate to our preschool auction, be a sponsor on our annual 5K Fun Run t-shirt, or purchase an advertisement on our webpage. We know from experience that word of mouth is a powerful tool.
NAEYC Accredited
Annandale Cooperative Preschool has met and/or exceeded all ten standards of the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) and has maintained its accreditation with the NAEYC for over 10 years. In fact, ACPS is the only cooperative preschool in Northern Virginia that has maintained its accreditation even with its recently heightened qualifications.

ACPS has met the high standards of NAEYC accredition continuously since 1987. All of our teachers hold degrees in early childhood education and related fields. We are proud to be the only NAEYC accredited cooperative preschool in both Fairfax County and all of Northern Virginia.
