Work Party Sign-Ups 2018-2019

In accordance with the Primer, parents are required to participate in the administrative and maintenance tasks of the school. Each family is required to serve on 1 board position or committee and at 1 work party throughout the school year. The work party cannot be under the same board position as the committee you serve on. However, if a Board member is signed up for, present at, and works through an entire work party of their committee, it counts for as their work party responsibility for the year. This is not considered a pass but an acknowledgment of all the work Board members put in before, during, and after an event and throughout the entire year. Examples of this would include if a M&G Director organizes and is present working throughout one of their work parties it counts. If a Hospitality Director brings and sets up food for NPO, but then also stays for the whole event and watching kids, that counts. If a Fundraising Director organized Fun Day, was present setting up, worked during the event, and helped clean up, that would count. However, say a Membership Director was present for the whole NPO it would not count as their work party since doing his/her job during the NPO would mean s/he couldn’t be watching kids.

The positions will be filled on a first come, first served basis. Please note that the work parties are for adults only, and unfortunately child care will not be available. The Board position responsible for the work party is listed after the title. Below you will find the work parties.
