Math Through Play
Recently, former ACPS teacher Jennifer McClelland offered a presentation for interested ACPS parents on strategies for incorporating mathematics lessons into children’s play. Strategies discussed include creative use of blocks, and guided reading. Last year, Ms. McClellan, a 12-year veteran of Fairfax County Public Schools, brought her interest in math to the Tuesday-Thursday Two’s classroom.
