What is the 4th R after reduce, reuse, and recycle? It’s repurpose! But what is it and how can we do it? In this class, your child will find out that just because something is damaged in a way, you don’t have to throw it out. Why not be creative and try to repurpose the item?
Parents will still need to send a regular lunch. Students will eat lunch from 12:15-12:30, and then we will work on different projects where the kids can repurpose their old but still useful goods and give it new life. We will ask your child to bring in the following materials by the first class:
- Old, broken crayons
- 1-small glass jar with or without lids or cans, cleaned (like for olives or artichokes or like Better than Bouillon Broth)
- 2-small old shirts
- 1-old towel
- 1-1 gallon plastic jug, cleaned– roundish or squarish
- 1-small toy that is not played with anymore
- 1-small non-reusable water bottle, cleaned (like Aquafina,Deer Park, etc.)
- 1-used 15 oz can, cleaned
-Samantha Galui & Keow Essig
The cost is $75 per student for the 6 week session. Please bring cash or check. Check can be addressed to Mrs. Keow Essig
