Teacher Appreciation Week – 2017
February 21-24, 2017
We are Wild about our staff! It is time to thank them for helping our children shine! Teacher Appreciation Week is the week of February 21-24. We have some surprises planned for our staff and we hope you can help make their week special! The appreciation ideas listed below are optional and you are not obligated to participate. Our teachers will appreciate any gesture, especially something chosen or made by your child.
Staff Luncheon
We are hosting a luncheon for our wonderful staff on Wednesday, March 8 immediately after school during their staff meeting. Hospitality and Personnel are working together and will be asking parents to bring in drinks and dishes to share – stay tuned! We will also be giving a small gift to each teacher on behalf of the school.
Fruit Basket
On your first day of school during Teacher Appreciation Week, please bring in ONE piece of fruit for your child’s teacher and ONE piece for the Director, Admin and AR teacher. Have your child choose their favorite fruit such as apple, grapefruit, banana, kiwi, mango, pear, melon, berries, etc… We will ask each teacher to bring in a container from home to collect the fruit and she will go home with a fruit basket!
A Scrapbook Page
Also on your first day of school during Teacher Appreciation Week, please bring in a page for your teacher’s scrapbook. On the page you or your child can write, “I love Mrs.___ because…” Make sure your child’s name is on the page. The page can also be anything: a picture, a collage, a drawing etc… Your room parent will compile the pages into a scrapbook for the teacher! There will also be notebooks in the hallway at school for your child to make one for Mrs. Sloane, Mrs. Essig, and Ms. Samantha.
A Child’s Gift
On the last day your child has school during Teacher Appreciation Week, please have your child bring in a small gift of her/his choice. This can be a flower from your garden, a small treat or snack, or a card made by your child.
